Practical cases

MCAP has been providing all kinds of companies and organisations with custom solutions for cable and glass-fibre assemblies since 1987. To give you an impression of the innovative capacity and cooperative approach of our engineers, we provide a number of practical examples here.

Brandsma

Brandsma specialises in wires and cables. Specifically, those cables that are only available in the non-regular technical wholesale trade. In addition, Brandsma supplies all kinds of products for connection and sealing purposes, the mechanical, electrical and thermal protection, as well as the fastening, channelisation and coding of wires and cables. In short, Brandsma supplies all the special products needed to assemble these specific cables. ‘An organisation with such a product range has to be flexible, innovative and cooperative,’ says Louis Lormann. ‘We do our utmost to deliver that one specific assembly that our customer needs.’

Brandsma has worked in a joint venture with MCAP for over 15 years now. Lormann: ‘At one point we received a request for an assembly, which we wouldn’t normally have tackled. But because our relationship with MCAP was so good, we decided to pass on the order to them. Mutual trust is then of course essential. The cabling world is small; we all know each other and everyone knows the customers by name. MCAP has consistently proven to be a sound and reliable partner. In fact, we aren’t competitors, we complement each other. And that is an ideal situation.’
